Symphonic Band

    The Symphonic Band plays levels 4 and 5 music. This class refines the students' abilities of playing, performing, and reading music. Instrumental experience is a must to perform with this group. The Symphonic Band normally plays 3 times a year. You can see this group perform at both the Winter and Spring Concerts. They also perform at the Georgia Music Educators Association's Large Group Performance Evaluation. The Symphonic Band has seen success at Evaluation scoring a "Superior" rating from all three performance adjudicators in 2004. This is a major accomplishment for any group performing on their difficulty level. The Symphonic Band has performed such selections as de Haan's Ammerland, Baldet's Symphonic Suite of Pirates of the Caribbean, King's Big Four, Grainger's A Percy Grainger Suite, and Higgins's Celtic Ritual.
